Board Stiff Too

That is the title of one of the books that I carry around with me these days to prepare for my oral exam for certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology. The big day? End of April. I received my letter earlier this month, informing me of my scheduled day and time. I have been tachycardic ever since.

Receiving the letter jump started my studying. I have been trying to study everyday, which includes reading, as well as answering questions out loud, since this IS an oral exam. I find that public places with a little bit of noise are good environments for this kind of preparation. No body seems to mind my talking to myself, but it is not too noisy that I cannot concentrate. I have become quite familiar with the various Starbucks locations between home and work. The only problem is that I come home smelling like a roasterie. Potent stuff. Had I mentioned that I don't drink coffee? Luckily Starbucks has expanded its menu to various teas (green is my beverage of choice) and smoothies. I really enjoy the Berry Chai Infusion. Apple is tasty, too. And, no, this is no a paid endorsement.
